1. What is a partner code
A partner code is a promotional code that unlocks a free trial of Xplore Norway Premium when redeemed in the app's Settings → Redeem Code section. Premium adds studio-narrated audio for points of interest (in addition to the on-device text-to-speech that all users get for free).
Partner codes exist so businesses that bring travellers to Norway — hotels, tour operators, car-rental companies, employers, tourism boards — can hand a high-quality audio guide to their guests, customers or employees as a goodwill gesture.
2. How partners get codes
Partners purchase a batch of codes directly from Polybos Digital AS under a written partner agreement. Pricing is per code and depends on volume and trial length. The transaction is a business-to-business sale between the partner and Polybos Digital — it does not involve the end user, the App Store, or Google Play.

3. What the end user pays
Nothing. Partner codes are gifts. The partner has already covered the cost when they bought the code from us, and they hand it to the end user free of charge. Redeeming a code in the app activates a free trial of Premium — the end user does not enter any payment information at the time of redemption.
If a partner ever asks an end user to pay for a code itself, that violates the partner agreement and the code can be revoked. Please report it to info@xplorenorway.com.
4. After the trial
When the partner-code trial ends, Premium features simply stop. End users who want to continue using Premium can subscribe through Apple's In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing inside the app — that's the only paid path for end users. Refunds, renewals and cancellations are handled by Apple or Google under their standard store terms; we are not involved.
5. Distribution terms for partners
Partners who purchase codes agree to:
- Distribute the codes free of charge to their guests, customers or employees — never sell or resell them.
- Use the codes for legitimate marketing or guest-experience purposes only.
- Not bulk-publish unused codes on the open internet (so we can keep the redemption pool meaningful).
- Provide their own contact channel for end users who have questions about how they received the code.
Polybos Digital AS may revoke unredeemed codes at any time if these terms are not followed, and reserves the right to refuse further sales.
6. Privacy
When a code is redeemed the app sends the code itself, the platform (iOS or Android) and the app version to our server so the code can be validated and counted toward the partner's redemption analytics. No personal identifiers are sent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
